NE 112th Street Sidewalk Improvements

This pedestrian improvement project completed a safe walking route within a commercial/residential transition area in the City of Kirkland. CPH provided civil engineering design, plans, specifications, and estimates for public bidding of the project and supported City staff throughout bidding, construction, and closeout. Pervious concrete was used for the majority of the sidewalk to facilitate stormwater controls. Special considerations included reconstruction of multiple commercial driveway approaches; engineered rockery for steep slope cuts; low impact development techniques; and interim connection to the new Cross Kirkland Corridor regional trail system.
